Over the last few years we have expanded our Training Section and this now includes a Bee Band and the newly formed Acorns.
We have purchased numerous new instruments and have been assisted in this from a number of organisations, for this assistance we thank them greatly.
We are always on the look out for new members whether they are complete beginners or more advanced. We provide an instrument, tuition and any music required. Whatever your standard we have a place for you.
Complete beginners are welcome to the Saturday morning Acorn Band tutored by Andrew Whitaker (Senior Band Musical Director) and Shannon Empsall (Senior Band 3rd Cornet). Music and instruments are provided to all for a small weekly subscription.
Eventually, when a certain standard is reached beginners are encouraged to join the Bee Band which meets every Thursday evening at 6.00pm.
The Lofthouse 'Bee' Band are tutored by Jamie Highton, solo cornet with the Senior Band. We are always on the look out for new members whether they are complete beginners or more advanced.
