The weekend of 1st/2nd June saw Lofthouse Brass Band play in some of the counties most amazing venues.
Firstly Ripon Cathedral where the band finished a creditable 5th in the entertainment contest with principle euphonium, Bob Blackburn, winning the Best Euphonium prize.
Secondly, Leeds Town Hall where the band shared the stage with the famous Black Dyke and seven other bands as part of the annual Black Dyke Music Festival. Both were fantastic places to make music!

Next up the band will be on the platform of Oxenhope Railway Station playing for the passengers on the Keighley Worth Valley Railway Vintage Trains – Sunday 30th June in the afternoon.
The trains run for the 5 miles between Oxenhope and Keighley. Here’s hoping for a sunny day!
